We Inform. You Empower.
We are a collective of Texans-veterans, business owners, consumers, cannabis advocates, and community leaders, working together to expose unjust laws, spotlight people-powered candidates, and help voters become literate, loud, and fearless at the polls. We believe cannabis justice is a vital part of broader civil rights, and that informed civic action is the key to reclaiming power in Texas—one issue, one vote, and one voice at a time.
Chasity Wedgeworth is a cannabis educator, activist, and small business owner based in Amarillo, Texas. With a Master's in Cannabis Science and a passion for public policy, Chasity has become a leading voice in the fight for fair regulation, political transparency, and community-driven change. She co-founded the Grassroots Resistance Collective to help everyday Texans become informed voters and to expose the power structures harming civil liberties and small businesses alike.
My mission is to help Texans become politically awake, not just politically aware. While I’ve spent years advocating for cannabis reform, I’ve realized that real change means pulling back the curtain on all the forces working against our communities, beyond just one issue. Through education, exposure, and conversation, I want to break down party lines and build common ground around truth, justice, and people-first policy. I believe when we talk about issues—not parties—we can take back Texas, together.
Claire Rudy is a passionate Cannabis & Hemp advocate and content creator dedicated to normalizing, destigmatizing, and advancing sensible policy in Texas and beyond. Realizing her purpose was to help free the plant, she began leaning in on cannabis and hemp policy, which quickly grew a passion for social change. Through data-driven storytelling and real-world perspectives, she empowers everyday Texans—regardless of party affiliation—to see Cannabis as a unifying issue that transcends “sides.”
Drawing on her background in Accounting, she breaks down complex regulations, economic impacts, and budget realities into clear, actionable insights. Having led teams and navigated complex regulatory frameworks, she's driven to channel that expertise into cultivating a canna-community empowered to spark change not only for cannabis reform, but across all the issues in the Lone Star State.
Personal Mission Statement
Claire is steadfast in driving meaningful change at the intersection of cannabis advocacy and civic engagement. She believes cannabis freedom is bipartisan and unites Texans around public health, economic development, and social justice. As a Co-founder of the Grassroots Resistance Collective, her focus is on identifying and spotlighting the candidates who truly understand the promise of hemp and cannabis reform, while moving Texas forward in issues across all topics.
With Texas’ next voting session on the horizon, Claire is dedicated to vetting candidates who demonstrate a genuine commitment to evidence-based reform and listen to Texans’ voices—offering voters clear criteria, in-depth interviews, and practical resources to make informed choices at the ballot box. She is unwavering in exposing the corruption that lets special-interest “cash cows” drive policy, ensuring our leaders serve people first. Through this grassroots initiative, her mission is to build an engaged community empowered to vote for leaders who will translate facts into action, foster responsible, well-regulated industry growth, and usher in a brighter, more equitable future for Texas and beyond.
Jennifer Marcano is a political content creator, artist, and lifelong advocate based in Richardson, Texas. A proud wife and mother, she is also a co-founding member of the Grassroots Resistance Collective, where she champions the voices and causes too often left behind.
Raised by her conservative, deeply religious grandparents, Jennifer’s bold spirit was evident early on—earning her the affectionate family nickname tied to her “big mouth.” That outspoken nature became her superpower. Over the years, she has fearlessly lent her voice to movements for cannabis reform, addiction recovery and fentanyl crisis awareness, abortion access and women’s healthcare, immigration reform, Puerto Rican statehood, and strengthening public education.
Jennifer’s political awakening emerged from a firsthand journey through media bias, religious extremism, and the tangled web of misinformation. Rather than accept the narratives handed to her, she dove headfirst into the world of American politics, determined to uncover the truth for herself—and to share that journey with others.
A product of the Texas public school system, Jennifer holds multiple trade certifications and brings both real-world experience and relentless curiosity to every conversation. Off the mic, she enjoys life’s beautiful chaos with her husband, their four children, five dogs, and four leopard geckos—always finding ways to, as she puts it, “get into good trouble.”
Personal Mission Statement
My mission is to use my voice, platform, and lived experience to amplify underrepresented perspectives, challenge injustice, and promote informed, compassionate civic engagement. Through storytelling, advocacy, and grassroots action, I strive to cut through misinformation, build community, and inspire others to stand up, speak out, and get into good trouble—for the sake of this Great Experiment called America.
A core part of my work centers on voter education and increasing exposure to candidates and issues that mainstream media often overlooks. By empowering everyday people with the knowledge and tools to engage in the democratic process, I aim to help build a more informed, active, and accountable electorate.

He doesn’t play politics—he exposes them.
Tovar's – Personal Mission Statement
Grassroots Resistance Collective
I’m here to spark a movement—not just around cannabis, but around truth, justice, and people-powered reform. Cannabis was the first crack in the wall—a bipartisan issue that exposed how disconnected our lawmakers are from the people they claim to serve. But this fight is bigger than cannabis. It’s about who gets heard, who gets helped, and who gets left behind.
My mission is to unite Texans across every line—party, class, color, and creed—to demand a government that works for all of us. From big city to rural Texans, we deserve policies rooted in logic, compassion, and accountability. I’m done waiting for permission. I’m building something different.
Through the Grassroots Resistance Collective, I’m helping to create a new kind of media and movement—one that informs, equips, and amplifies the voices that the system tries to ignore. We’re taking on crooked politics, lifting up our communities, and rewriting the playbook—starting in Texas, but with our eyes on the nation.
I don’t do this out of anger—I do it out of love. Love for my family, my community, and every person who’s been told to sit down, shut up, or settle. We’re not settling. We’re rising.
